Straight forward lessons that transition nicely from the first volume.
I am the English Program Coordinator for Fundacion En Via-a microfinance non profit in Oaxaca, Mexico. We began using this curriculum in the fall of 2014, and it has gone really well! The appendixes are informative and helpful, and each theme within the curriculum has a vocabulary list and comprehensive grammatical concept. It is straightforward and easy to follow; there are clear objectives and lesson plans. Since each theme lasts 5 classes, it is best if you can give classes Monday through Friday. The themes for Volume 2 are the body, occupations, technology, and transportation with corresponding grammatical concepts. This curriculum works best with beginning children, as it is fairly repetitive. We have found for adult and/or more advanced classes, the curriculum does not move fast enough. I recommend it to anyone teaching a beginning level English course. Especially to children!
