Chris Geiger is the author of the top selling book 'The Cancer Survivors Club' published by OneWorld Publications.
Bad Cells is a collection of Chris Geiger’s thought-provoking and witty newspaper columns. His weekly column rapidly grew in popularity, eventually earning him the prestigious Columnist of the Year award.
He writes about such random subjects as our attitude towards breasts, dog walkers, death, high fibre diets, cosmetic surgery, car alarms, prostate examinations, the Queen’s speech, celebrities, and assisted suicide. Other observations include Wimbledon, doctor’s waiting rooms and suggestions that smokers are “dumb or dyslexic” for ignoring the health warnings on packets.
With an introduction and extra column written exclusively for this collection, Bad Cells is titled after a movingly reflective piece, describing his thoughts when first diagnosed and receiving treatment for cancer.
Bad Cells includes Chris Geiger’s wide-reaching Guinness World Record column, published on World Cancer Day and an excerpt of his top selling book ‘The Cancer Survivors Club’.

I was encouraged by this book. As a cancer survivor. the author's own long survival was like a breath of fresh air. So many people I know have developed cancer within a few years of the original cancer and have in many instances fought the second battle bravely but not successfully. Chris Geiger shows that a long survival is possible and for that I thank hime.I wish had read the book while undergoing the dark hours of treatment. The author's positive thinking is inspiring.
The book was easy to read and no nonsense kind of book. The humour was great. My only criticism is that very little mention is made of colon cancer and how difficult it is to cope with the bag, reversal surgery and its aftemath. I have yet to find a book that tackles any of these problems.
The four star rating is an honest rating as I hope to read the book over and over again.

Bad Cells A collection of thoughtprovoking essays and witty newspaper columns edition by Chris Geiger Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
I really liked the glimpse into another cancer patient's daily life. Easy to read to pick uo, read a little and put down for next time. Very good if you, too, are going through chemo.
I enjoyed the humor thrown in with reality - and the positive feelings from reading this book. I am surprised there aren't many reviews. Definitely worth reading.
